    We are now expanding and are recruiting for Electrical Shift Supervisors at our Underground Ironbark No1 Mine.

    We are a privately-owned metallurgical coal mining company in the renowned Bowen Basin of Central Queensland. Our team is made up of individuals who are keen to deliver through innovation and reach their potential to work. Fitzroy Mining Operations own and operate Carborough Downs Coal Mine, Broadlea Opencut and Ironbark No.1 Mine, the newest longwall mine in Australia.

    About the Role

    Provide engineering leadership and guidance in collaboration with the Lead ERZ Controller and leadership to the Shift. To Supervise planned maintenance activities, breakdowns and deliver safety and production targets as a senior leader of the shift.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Delivery of the 24Hr plan as part of the Leadership Team
    • Provide feedback as to the quality of the planned work and leadership to the shift trades
    • Auditing and coach of maintenance work to achieve the required standard
    • Drives Culture with the Shift Trades of Identifying faults, and preventative maintenance.
    • Manages the LW move activities during back shifts and weekends
    • Provide technical support to the shift trades.
    • Manage and raise breakdown work orders and new corrective work orders and communicate work to process coordinators
    • Daily Reporting of planned to actual work orders achieved

    Reallocates Labour, and equipment as required to maximise production and safety

    • Ensure compliance with safety systems, practices and behaviours.

    About You

    To be successful in this position we are looking for someone who is passionate about mining coal and the ideal candidate will hold:

    • Significant previous experience working in underground coal operations with at least 2-5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
    • Trade Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical
    • G189 (S123) and G2
    • Standard 11 – surface and underground;
    • Demonstrated leadership ability
    • Commitment to the achievement of business goals and outcomes;
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
    • Current Driver’s License
